STC, an independent broadband and phone provider just 5 miles south of Iowa City, is expanding its fiber to the home network and we’re searching for a customer-focused, self-motivated, and team-oriented Network Technician to help us deliver a first-class fiber product to our valued customers.
As a Network Technician at STC, you’ll play a crucial role in installing fiber-to-the-home equipment in customer homes and network locations. Your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting fiber-to-the-home installations, including drilling into walls and floors, running power and data cable, and setting up Calix ONTs for internet and phone services.
- Being on-call as required for this role.
- Installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining network equipment.
- Demonstrating experience with or a willingness to learn about Calix, Accedian, and Adtran network equipment, as well as experience with DC power plants and fiber splicing.
- Locating underground cables.
- Maintaining a safe work environment.

Salary: $52,000 - $74,000
